It is strange that gossips would spread like wild fire in the media. First there was a big talk that Sunil was playing the lead in the remake of ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, a romantic film with Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut in the lead role.

The Telugu remake is going to be produced by Dil Raju and Nallamalupu Bujji. However, the latest information is that Puri Jagannath’s brother Sairam Shankar would play the hero and Charmi was roped in as heroine for the movie.

Sairam Shankar, who gave a big hit like ‘Bumper Offer’ failed to get adequate recognition and offers from others and Charmi is too running a slack period these days with a recent flop like ‘Mangala’.

However, this information too is not official but only claimed by some sources from the Film Nagar.

However, it is confirmed that a debutant director Gopi, who was associated with Puri Jagannath, was told to wield the megaphone for the film.
